The Fogatti Tankless Water Heater # LSB44FR maintenance section lists that you should drain the RV regularly flush the heat exchanger with an RV rated descaling solvent. A DSI and non DSI water heater will have 12 volt power that goes to operate the thermostats and DSI board for those models.
